Are there reports of autologous adipose tissue derived adult mesenchymal stem cells causing adverse reactions on human beings?

Posted in Frequently Asked Questions |

In our research, there are no documented cases in the literatures where serious injury has resulted. All patients will be entered into a database to monitor and report adverse reactions. This information is essential to the development of stem cell science. There have been some reports of complications from other centers and they are carefully evaluated by epidemiologists to verify the facts. The International Stem Cell Registry has more than 1,000 cases currently listed and only 2% of treatments were associated with complications, none of which are even considered "serious adverse events".
